Last week (October 3rd), a gas leak was detected in our central kitchen stovetops. The issue was immediately addressed, we have ordered new stovetops for our kitchen, and the lines to the stovetops were removed. In the meantime, we will have full access to our ovens and grill. Student meals have been slightly adjusted to meet both dietary needs, as well as our limited equipment needs to prepare all of our meals until the new stovetops are replaced. Rumors have been spread that we had another leak this morning, but both New Mexico Gas and our County Fire Department both used their detection tools and verified that there were no leaks. We will continue to monitor and ensure everyone that the safety of our students and staff remains paramount. Thank you,

La semana pasada (3 de octubre), se detectó una fuga de gas en las estufas de nuestra cocina central. El problema se solucionó de inmediato, pedimos nuevas estufas para nuestra cocina y se quitaron las líneas de las estufas. Mientras tanto, tendremos acceso total a nuestros hornos y parrilla. Las comidas de los estudiantes se han ajustado ligeramente para satisfacer ambas necesidades dietéticas, así como nuestras necesidades de equipo algo limitadas para preparar todas nuestras comidas hasta que se reemplacen las nuevas estufas. Se han difundido rumores de que tuvimos otra fuga esta mañana, pero tanto New Mexico Gas como el Departamento de Bomberos de nuestro condado utilizaron sus herramientas de detección y verificaron que no había fugas. Due to unforeseen construction, please park in the areas we used last year in the back row at the middle school and the small parking lot by the football field. We hope to be in our own parking lot soon. Students parking on campus must have a permit displayed in the window. Thank you for your patience.
